Information on the events offered by AADRI, LLC.
Conformation
Conformation is a show ring setting where dogs are judged against a standard by credible, sanctioned AADRI judges. The purpose of conformation shows are to evaluate breeding stock that will lend to the future of the breed.
Weight Pull
Weight Pull is a low impact sport that the American Pit Bull Terrier excels at. Dogs wear appropriately fitted, weight distributing harnesses that allow them to utilize their body weight to move a weighted cart on wheels or rails.
Sprint Course
Sprint Course is a sport offered where dog's essentially chase a bag attached to a pully system/zip line. It's a straight line down and back and the fastest dogs are rewarded.
Tug of War
Tug of War is a sport that is exactly as titled. Dogs are kept on lead and will tug against an opposing team. A rope is provided that is marked for the judge to determine when one side or the other has won. There is a divider between dogs to prevent them seeing one another.
Mill Racing
Mill racing is done on a slat mill, a dog propelled exercise tool. The dog determines how fast it goes and for how long. A favorite amongst competitors (and the dogs), the winner is determined by fastest run over distance.
